not receiving text messages from one person

hello, i need some assistance. My iphone 4 is not receiving text messages from one person. This person is on the same verizonwireless account. I can also receive phone calls from that number Please help!

Hello diamondteardrop1,

I understand text is an important form of communication.  I have a few questions to ask to help narrow the resolution.  Have you ever received text from this person in the past?  If so, when did this begin?  Can you send text to this person?  Has the other person observed any trouble with other people not receiving their text?  If so, we may need to troubleshoot their phone.  To address your device first you can attempt this troubleshooting step.  Delete that person's contact information and the text thread (all conversations with this person in your text inbox) and re-add the contact and try a test text from the user.  Please respond if this was successful and or if you need any additional assistance.  Please include the answers to the above questions as well.  Thank you.
