Can I remove some of the Icons from my phone so that I can view the wallpaper?

You can do a few things. If you drag a single icon (press and hold it) it will start shaking. Drag that on top of another Icon and it will make a group folder that you can put different icons in and you can take those folders and move them to the very bottom of the screen or to a second tab and leave the home screen wide open
