***Announcement: Early next week, we’ll be merging the current Fios and Wireless Communities into the all new Verizon Community! Beginning the evening of Sunday 12/4, both Communities will be placed in read-only mode. You’ll still be able to visit the Communities and browse content, but login will be disabled. On the afternoon of Monday 12/5, all users will be able to log into the new Verizon Community. We expect the new Community to be fully functional the morning of Friday 12/9. transfered phone number not working right?

Activated new phone yesterday. Transfered phone number from virgin mobile. I can call and text out, but calls and most text messages go to old phone? any thoughts? I now have old phone turned off. SHould I just be patient and it will all sort itself out on the back end or is there something I should do.

Sounds like the port hasn't fully complete. Call customer service at 1-800-922-0204 from another phone and ask them about the port status.

Check your port status at this site:

Transfer Your Phone Number - Switch to Verizon Wireless

Just enter your phone number, and click "port status." sometimes all it needs you to do is enter the correct account number from your previous account, and it will fix it.
