Let me know if you have done this recently with Verizon and what you did, what it cost before and what it cost now.
Your iPhone 6 is unlocked and would work on any carrier. Your best bet is to find a cheaper prepaid, like consumer cellular, for about $25-35 a month. Verizon does not have a really bargain plan for a 1 gig user.
The cheapest they can go is the $55 postpaid or $50 prepaid, both have more data than you will use.
Hi steeli12, what are you paying now? It's tough to tell anyone what plan is best for them, only you know what would suit you best. I have a iPhone 6s plus which Verizon charges $60 per month for unlimited Talk & Text along with 2GB of data, which works well for me. When home I use Wi-Fi so have never gone over on Data. Currently Verizon is offering unlimited Talk & Text & Data for $80. Which I might take.
In Sept. Apple is coming out with a new iPhone that is their 10th anniversary for iPhones. So I'm holding off in anticipation of that rather then doing an upgrade right now that I qualify for.
