Has it always done that? Is this a new device or did you update the iOS and then experience the issue?

New device. had back to VZ 5 times now, they try different things like new sim card, settings , etc.

New device. Had back to VZ 5 times now, new sim card, options checked, etc. We have 2 other iPhones and they work fine.

Also on the 5s (the bad phone), the battery drain is large. I am using my 5c, 6 hrs now, and the battery is at 94%. The 5s is at 67% (not even being used). Sounds like a problem with the 5s if it drops all calls AND sucks the batters dry.

Had iOS 7, and updated to iOS 8 to see if problem would resolve. Still same problem.
