My iPhone 12's Verizon personal hotspot is using wifi 5 (802.11ac).  Is wifi 6 (802.11ax) available?

Thanks for reaching out to us today, c_patrick1965. I want to make sure that we're on the same page. Exactly what series of the iPhone 12 do you have? Are you having any issues with the device? KevinR_VZW

Mine is iPhone 12 Pro Max part MG9A3LL/A which is also US model A2342.  I understand “802” is simply IEEE’s reference # for it’s own Committee of tech standards for LAN stuff and WAN stuff since Feb. 1980 and “.11 reflects the fact that WLAN stuff comprises the eleventh broad area in which the Committee has ventured.  Nicknames “Wifi 1” thru “Wifi 5” refer to nifty sequential 802.11 end tag designations of ever-improving transmit/receive frequency combinations:  b, a , g, n, then ac.  The latest, IEEE’s new and improved “Wifi 6”, refers to the recently-designated 802.11ax “protocol”.  I found out that all iPhone 12 devices can utilize Wifi 6.  I have witnessed, by my pc’s Windows 10 WLAN detection, that my iPhone’s personal hotspot progressed from 802.11n to 802.11ac, then in my pc’s PCIe x1 slot I installed a new 802.11ax Wifi 6 wireless adapter and set it to 802.11ax, but Windows 10 still shows Verizon’s personal hotspot in 802.11ac mode.  Just saying.
