Home Connect Voice Mail

Does anyone else have problems checking their home connect voice mail from another phone (i.e., regular cell phone, another land line)?    I've been told that it's possible, but can't get it to work.  It's frustrating when you know you may have a certain call coming, but can't check.  If anyone knows how, I'd love to know.

It should be the same way as checking any other verizon wireless line's voicemail from another phone. Dial your number and interrupt the voicemail greeting by pressing # and you're taken to the password prompt.  Is this not working for you or are you trying a different method?
