Verizon wireless ruined my 800 credit score by closing my account when I changed my calling plan. I changed my calling plan one of my 2 Verizon wireless phones and was not informed ,asked texted or communicated with in any way shape or form that this had occurred. I was alerted by my loan officer was stated I would no longer qualify for a loan due a 165 point drop on my credit score. They stated Verizon put an open collection account for $117.00 on my credit report. Shocked and in disbelief I tried calling Verizon on hold hung up on, promised returned phone calls etc,etc ,etc.
Keep in mind I have 2 phone lines still .I have been a customer since 2006. 17yrs
Supervisors all give the same talking points about the fair reporting act,but leave out the consumer protections and notification disclosures in the act. They will tell you they are sorry for the inconvenience but that does nothing to repair the damage they have done to my credit and now losing me and my children's home. Anyone that can help us please contact me we do not have time to wait.

You are not alone!! I am in this exact situation!! Absolutely terrible Verizon would do this. We have paid perfectly for 15+ years. This is an old account and they were sending bill to old address apparently from 7 years ago. 820 credit score down 160 points!! I’m happy to pay but they refuse to remove it.
