In December I activated two new 5G Start lines in-store and was told I could get an Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen), Apple iPad (9th Gen), and Beats Heaphones for free. I would only have to pay sales tax on the watch and tablet and the rest would be essentially free because of rebates.
I received the watch and headphones, but the tablet did not arrive so I called customer support. They said they couldn't locate the tablet and would have to re-order it and call me back after I receive it to add the promotion. I did receive it this time, and when they called me back they said I would have to upgrade the line to a premium one to get the promotion I was originally offered. I'm not satisfied with this, since the additional $360 I'm paying throughout the next 36 months for the premium line will basically amount to the cost of the iPad.
This bait and switch has in a situation where I have only two options:
1) Return the iPad
2) Pay $10/month more for 36 months
Has anyone else experienced a bait and switch like this, and what did you do to get the deal you were initially promised?

I am having a similar issue with my tablet order as well. The Verizon rep doesn't even know what offer I am talking about now that the new offers are available, and since the tablet was back ordered, the new offer is only $100 off the price of the tablet. I was offered the tablet for free with the purchase of a new phone and just have to cover the monthly service fee.
This is very frustrating!

I have been told that I needed to purchase a new phone and new line, in my case the the Samsung S22 Ultra, and I purchased a new line, and I would receive a new Samsung Tab7 FE, which, naturally I put on the new line, and now I'm being told I have to cover the price of the tablet, because the new phone isn't on the new line. I'm paying full price for the phone. Why does it matter what line it's on?

Yes I have!! Unfortunately I didn't notice them billing me full price for the tablet for 15 months. Yes my fault for not reviewing the itemized bill but I did add another phone line with phone and watch and upgraded another phone so it was all a bit confusing. So they sent me a different model tablet probably because they ran out of the ones for the promo?? They now say I have to pay $15 per month for this table, the one I didn't want. They said it was my fault because I ordered it and signed the agreement. I spent 3 hours on the phone, the first rep said yeah I see the promo, we owe you $461 and we'll send a refund and adjust your bill, just check it in a week. So I checked it, it wasn't right so I called again. Well this new rep told me they never run any promos where they give you a free tablet. Right! So now a manager calls me back 90 minutes later and tells me I am wrong. They cannot do anything because I signed the agreement with that model number tablet, not that they are wrong with the billing and sending me the wrong tablet. So in the end they don't care about a customer for 15 years with them and all the family phones etc. I'm told I only get $225 refund and still have to pay for the tablet. So now I have to eat that cost along with the new line which I never would have got if I had to pay for the tablet which is just a back up. So they are making me pay the $500. This is so wrong when all the mistakes are with the order the from promotions dept. along with reps who don't know whats going on, manager who can't do ANYTHING to help. Time to shop around. DON'T TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANITE WE JUST ARE NOT IMPOTRTANT TO THEM!!
BEWARE!!!
