Paper Free Billing Without Permission

When I paid my bill today at My Verizon, I received a PopUp telling me that I was NOW enrolled in a "60 Day Paper Free Billing Trial". I was neither asked nor given any advance notice. I did NOT give permission for it. I had to locate and go into another section "Manage Paper Free Billing" to turn it off. Hopefully, it is in fact turned off, but I can't be certain of that considering how I was hijacked into it in the 1st place.
I don't appreciate this kind of shoddy stunt. If Verizon wants me to try a paper free billing trial than they should have asked UPFRONT, and I would have considered it, not stick me in it without warning.

I am sorry to hear about your paper free billing troubles. So we can get more information from you, I have copied your post to our private support board. Please refer all correspondences to there from here on out. You can easily get to the private support one of two ways. In the email you signed up for the forums with, you will receive a link to click on. Make sure you are already signed into the forums before clicking on this link. Another way of getting there is by clicking on your username anywhere you see it in the forums. This brings you to your account profile. Scroll down to the section labeled "My Support Cases" . In there you will see the link to your case.

When you sign into your account go to view bill. On the far right you should see "Make Payments the Easy Way" with a "Paper Free Billing" option below it. Click on manage. Once you are on the next page click on manage again and you can change what you want.

I see that this practice continues. Every time I make a small change to my account at verizon.com, the system changes me to paper free billing without my knowledge. Turning off paper free billing is much, much more difficult than Verizon says. The directions given by the automated chat service are incorrect. Today, when I finally figured out how to return to paper billing, the system said it was not working now and I should try another time. It is hard not to see this trickery as intentional by Verizon. My advice to customers: don't visit verizon.com, don't explore the company's new services, etc., or you will have your bill delivery choice undone. This happens to me over and over.
