After realizing my Fios bill had gone up, I called Verzion and was told my my discounts had expired. I was offered some discounts for for renewal. The customer service peron told me I'd be renewing the same package, but he would have to cancel my old service and add my new service. No problem. My family started noticing missing channels. When I logged on to view my account, I realized I had been switched from Extreme HD to Preferred HD. I'm trying to get this resolved now.
Oh yea, I forgot to mention, my previous package also included Showtime and HBO for free. No more.....
Please escalate this and have a verizon sevice rep contact me.
I just got off chat with two useless customer service reps. The first one abruptly transferred me, and the second one tried to dump me off into a Tech specialist.
Useless.....

After posting my bait and switch experience on the forums, I was contacted by a customer service rep.

After wasting my time taking all of my information all over again, she asked me if I make use of my DVR service. Of course I do at $20 a month. Then she went on to offer me other packages that had the channels I want at a HIGHER price. I told here I wasn't willing to pay a higher price. I told her I wanted what channels I was promised at the price I was promised. She wouldnt budge. A total waste of time. Its not her fault that the sales rep lied to me and signed me up for another package. Evidently this is a common tatic Verizon uses.
