Cant redeem Amazon prime

I signed up last month during the amazon promotion which included both a 2nd gen amazon echo and one year amazon prime membership. The sign up offer explicitly mentioned ("Already have prime? We'll cover another yearthat if you were already a prime member, you would receive an additional year of prime membership). I have been able to redeem the echo, however there is no way to redeem or be credited a one year membership fee for amazon prime.

How do I get my Prime membership as well?  only chat said id get an email "shortly" that was nearly 24 hours ago.  Any help is greatly apprecaited
