Hi folks,
I renewed my FIOS account yesterday, July 2, with a 2 year contract. Is there a grace period for cancelling service? I am in the state of Pennsylvania, if that matters. I am just not happy with the deal, after checking around some other sites.
Thanks

Grace periods on contracts vary from state to state. In NY it’s I believe 3 days. However sometimes there is no periods of cooling off if you are a present customer with another period of service.
personally I don’t and will not ever sign a contract for internet services. With all the constant deals out there it’s best to be non contract.
now another point to ponder is if you renewed prior to your original contract end date.
if this was the case you should be able to back out with no problem if the contract start date has not been reached.
Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.
I'm in New York and tried to cancel after 1 business day and was refused.
I'm beyond furious. Spectrum offers a contract buyout thankfully.
the NYS Public Service Commission has a toll free number for your complaint and an online portal for submission of documents.
calling is faster. They will have Verizon call you in most cases same day. Just make sure the number you give the state can be answered at anytime.
for contracts I would file a complaint at the NYS Attorney Generals Office
