I just want to close my account, i.e., cancel my long distance service I have had for many years with Verizon. I have a ticket # for this request but it appears to be useless. I have been on hold for 1 hour and 20 mins with the number I was given from the chat support ( 844-837-2262). I have spent a total so far of 6 plus hours over several days just trying to get rid of this service.
I am about ready to file a formal complaint. Please tell me how to close this Verizon account/service.
