I want to know if any existing Verizon customers have success in sign up or switch to their
advertised Fios Triple Play for $59.99. My current Verizon promotion service will end in October and
I tried to sign up this plan but the Verizon representative said it is only for new customers. It looks like the
only way to qualify it is for me to cancel my service in October.

Yes new customer pricing is just that, for new customers. You might be able to get a price close to the promo pricing with some work, but not exactly what new customers get.
I had to leave myself and come back. Typically its 6 months before you are eligible for new customer pricing, but if you open a new account under someone else in the house they can do it in days.
I didnt have fios for 5 months and ended up receiving an offer by mail to come back which was actually a little cheaper then what new customers get.
