I cancelled my Verizon service back in 2009 due to moving outside of their coverage area and I was told my account was in good standing. I've noticed an $86.00 collection account on my credit report and I can't tell who to contact to correct this with. I'm not trying to dispute this, I just want it gone. Who do I contact about how to remove this debt from my report?
Hi ferrell1221,
Sorry you are having difficulty. An agent with access to your account will reach out to you directly by email, private message in the Forums and/or the billing telephone number on your Verizon account for more information or to help you resolve your issue. Please remember to check your spam/junk folder if you do not hear from an agent.
I am needing help with this as well!! It was my ex husbands account he stranded me with after we divorced and I was unaware, now I have a very high outstanding debt on my report. I don’t want to go through an agency for this, I want to set up payment arrangements with Verizon.
Hi Liltxnchic20,
As this is a peer to peer support forum, you will need to contact Verizon directly for assistance. We have sent you a private message with contact information for a dedicated specialist who is able to help resolve your issue.
