Verizon is reporting negative information and I need it taken care of immediately. I closed my account and paid what I owed. A few months later I receive a collections letter stating I owe them money. I closed my account and disconnected the service on 12/19/2017 which the collection letter clearly shows. I paid that amount due. Now from doing research I see Verizon charged me 100.80 for service from 12/21 -1/18. Now tell me how do I owe Verizon for charges after my account was closed and disconnected on the 19th of December. I never received a bill and of course was never expecting a bill since I closed the account and disconnected the service. So, Verizon is reporting negative information on my credit report for services I didn't have or even wanted. This needs to be taken care of immediately! My credit score went from over 800 to 680! I have been told that Verizon is an unethical company and now I am expericning their decitful businees practices first hand.
As this is a peer to peer support forum, you will need to contact Verizon directly for assistance. We have sent you a private message with contact information for a dedicated specialist who is able to help with a resolution of your issue.
This is something that can be fixed via going to each credit bureau and disputing the trade line rating. If you give them proof they must remove it.
they will try and verify with the creditor, if the creditor does not respond by 30 days it get removed. Now even if the amount and particulars are removed it does not mean that verizons automated reporting system will not reenergize it again.
now if there were residual charges and you did not know about, then if you moved and you did not get the invoice it would be a legitimate posting via non receipt. You could pay it, then write a statement of explanation. However the negative correct information stays on for 7 years. That is how it works.
