Verizon has report a negative rating on my credit report on a bill that is NOT mine. I never received notification about any outstanding bills and all my accounts are paid in full every time I call Verizon. How do I get this off my credit report immediately since it is the fault of Verizon for reporting it?
Hi Nguariglia10,
As this is a peer to peer support forum, you will need to contact Verizon directly for assistance. We have sent you a private message with contact information for a dedicated specialist who is able to help with a resolution of your issue.

Go to the three credit bureaus (there is a fourth one I cannot remember the name)
put in a dispute and produce proof it is not valid. They will send a confirmation to Verizon and if they don’t reply it gets removed, if they do reply and it states it was a mistake then it gets removed, however if they reply and state the bill was yours, it was late or never paid or was in collections it cannot be removed.
It will stay on your bureau reports for 7 years as of last paid or charge off date reported.
You may write a letter of explanation but that may make things worse.
