Person who claimed to be verizon agent knocked my door (with no complaint raised by me)

I am resident of Henrico VA 23233, staying at crossings apartment. Some person claiming to be verizon agent, knocked door asking about the service as he is checking in the neighborhood.(i didnt even raised any incident/complaint for any sort of service issue)

Can someone from Verizon confirm if this is a routine check in Henrico County, VA 23233 at crossings apartment on 12/8/2017 at 6:30pm - 6:50pm? I didnt let him come into home but am scared if they are fake!
