Dear Verizon Team
I hope you are doing well
I would like to address an issue that i've had for the past 6 yrs in reference to an old small personal account that I had when I was younger & paid off during collection. As I recall, I was told that once it was paid off it would be removed from my history but as it seems here 6 years later, it is still on my credit report. I've tried contacting the Verizon headquarters that had my file & they seem to have relocated. The last known address that I had was 500 TECHNOLOGY DR SUITE 300, WELDON SPRING, MO 63304.
As you may understand I have tried my best to remove the report still being displayed on my credit. Verizons remarks were "Payment after charge off/collection. Account closed by consumer" The account was opened June 16th 2011 and it still hunts me even though I have owed "ZERO" in the past 5 yrs.
I would kindly ask for you help as this issue is the only bad thing on my credit and it seems to be affecting it.
Thank you in advance
Jami
Allow me to add that my account was a personal residential account in which I had ordered home interenet services.
Thank you!

I am in a similar situation. Can you please provide me with the best contact phone number for Verizon so that I can try to resolve my issue as well? Thanks in advance.

Even though this thread is old, you cannot remove a bad entry on your credit report unless it falls off after 7 years as a charge off or from last date of payment.
verizon more than likely put the derogatory listing on after trying to collect payment from you. Now if you see it on there after 7 years you can contact all the credit bureaus and dispute it. If Verizon does not respond within 30 days it will come off.
now if you call Verizon 1-800-VERIZON and you make a payment or payment arraignments the seven years starts all over again. So be careful.
you can also make a written statement of explanation but that statement if even read by lenders may cause more harm than good.
