Have you ever tried to get in touch with Verizon and find out that you can't.
The purpose behind this is to have the worst automated system of any utility so you can't contact them and then they don't have to make a repair call.
My phone line went down due to a tree limb in the storm and after multiple failed calls to Verizon and waiting times in excess of 45 minutes you are encouraged to give up. They aren't going to assist you because they have lousy service to begin with.
So you look into the worst design of a support menu and find that you can't get support; no one is home.
