Verizon, STOP text messaging me stupid marketing crap

I have all my setting set to send me email and to not sed me texts. Why are you sending me marketing crap about the super bowl. Why even have a preferences page if you are not going to listen to your customer's preferences???

You can go into your wireless settings (is it Verizon wireless)? If so under blocking services at http://www.verizonwireless.com after you log in just enter the “Verizon.net and Verizon.com to the text blocking service” this will stop all texts from Verizon.

there is another page on http://www.verizon.com in the Fios section you can locate the privacy and marketing opt out pages. There is also a third page that stops all notifications except emergency texts from Verizon. Normally your bill is ready or your payment was received messages.
