Verizon did not refund my account balance after cancelling

Beware if you have a credit balance on your account when you cancel Verizon service. I have tried for 5 months to get them to refund my account balance and they have given me the run-around for months. I was a loyal customer for 6 years and always paid my bill on time. When you cancel, they could care less about refunding your money in a timely fashion. I'd recommend that if you are planning to cancel, don't pay your final bill because you may not get it refunded.
