Verizon says my account has been disconnected and won't let me pay my bill?

My bill is due on the 22nd of each month so when I logged onto my verizon account today to pay it I got this message "Your account has been disconnected. You have no payment due at this time. Any new charges or credits will appear on future bill(s)." I paid my bill on time last month just like I always do and my phone/DSL services are still working fine. Can someone help me fix this?
