Verizon will not recognize my mobile phone number

Verizon will not accept my Republic Wireless mobile phone number as valid. Each time I've tried to enter the number into my profile I get a message which reads: 

Error! Change Mobile Number

We encountered a problem with your request. Please try again.

I'm experiencing the same issue with my Google Voice number.

In the My Verizon mobile app that I installed it asks for a phone number to verify my device, I put in my mobile # it didn't reconize, tried the number from Verizon same thing.

That's the first screen, without that the app is useless.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I have no trouble logging on My Verizon on my PC if that helps.

I'd appreciate any suggestions, thank you.
