"Fishing" for new contracts by misleading customers
Not sure did anyone experienced this before but here is what happened. I had a contract for about a year when I called Verizon with some minor question. I was offered a HBO for free for 3 months as a "we are sorry for your inconvenience". Too bad that I was not informed that this will renew my existing contract for another 2 years. So time goes by and 3 months later I am getting slammed with increased bill. When I called to find out why, I was informed that I extended my contract and this was just a promo. Multiple calls did not helped and dealing with customer service lead me to canceling service with Verizon. As much as I liked Fios I had to cancel be use dealing with sales is like gambling. Everyone gives you different prices. Sounds to me that Verizon is doing everything to screw with existing customers.
