Has anyone had issues lately loading Pandora radio on the Storm 1?  I use Pandora frequently and just a week or so ago it quit loading.  The load screen come up and it thinks for a minute then closes back to my home screen.  Anyone had a similar issue and were you able to fix it?

Yes I have had similar problems since last update, it takes forever to load. Not sure if it is going to load. Then it randomly stops playing for a minute or two and then picks back up where it stopped. I also now am getting a commercial for Pandora on my Computer which I never heard commercials before on this. I do not need Pandora on my comp. I have I- Tunes on my comp. Grrrrrr

That's the problem...it's not loading AT ALL on mine.  The load screen will come up and then shut down.  I have tried popping out the battery and restarting the unit, but no luck.

Chef email Mike at Pandora maybe he can offer something. Right now it's working fine on my S1. If you are having any Vol problems I had to lower my Key rate to normal, and now it doesn't cause skipping when I try to raise or lower the Volume.

I heard back from Mike :

Sorry to hear that.  For some listeners a reboot can do the trick.  You can do this by pulling out the battery.

If that doesn't work, then uninstall and then reinstall the Pandora app using your mobile web browser (NOT through App World).

To uninstall:

 1. Open "Options" (wrench icon) ->(Advanced Options on some devices)-> Applications
 2. Select Pandora in the list
 3. Press the menu button
 4. Select "Delete"

To reinstall:

Go to
www.pandora.comon your phone's native web browser (this should throw up a BlackBerry splashscreen when the browser is launched). Do not use a third-party browser such as Opera or Bolt.

You may have to change your "emulation" in your browser to "BlackBerry":

Go to your browser then click the Blackberry menu button  -> Options -> Browser Configuration -> Browser Identification (Emulation Mode)-> select Blackberry-> Save.

* Please let me know if you are on a Corporate Blackberry service, also known as BES.  You can check this by going to:

Manage Connections -> Services Status

Either beside or underneath "BlackBerry Enterprise Server" it will say whether or not you are connected to a BES server.

As for the ads you're hearing, advertising is a very important part of our business – both on the web and on mobile devices.  It's the ads that allow us to offer Pandora for free to our listeners, while supporting the substantial costs associated with operating the service (including music licensing).  Audio ads are a vital component of this equation.

While making sure the advertising works for advertisers, we also focus on making the content as relevant as possible.  If you'd prefer a version of Pandora without advertising, then you might enjoy Pandora One.  For $36 a year, Pandora One gives you unlimited listening time with no advertisements.  You can find out more about it here:
http://www.pandora.com/pandora_one

We really appreciate your feedback and I hope that this explanation makes sense.
