I am traveling in Germany and have no service. My blacberry shows a legend like following:
SIM card rejected. It shows service bars, but cannot make calls because syas I do not have service. I need HELP.

Yes. It is. I have turned off, removed the battery and turn on again an d keeps saying the same

I am sorry I cannot be of more help, my assumption is you did not notify Verizon you wanted it for overseas and then maybe they have to turn it on?

On the Verizon network, you don't need the SIM card to operate the phone.(Pretty much useless in a CDMA network) (Try use phone without SIM card) Did you inform Verizon that you will be traveling abroad? Germany? If trying to just swap out SIM cards, or something, to travel abroad, it don't work that way like "other" carriers (AT&T) they use SIM cards on their phones.
