Just got my first BB and am ready to load the back up disks but... the requirements state Windows or Vista. I'm on a Mac. Anyone out there use Macs with their BBs? Successfully? Am I about to do something I'm going to regret?

There's a 3rd party solution called PocketMac. You can google it and read about/download it. It's not anything official so it has limited functionality. There's a few 3rd party solutions out there, but I don't know a Mac so I have no personal experience. Currently though, RIM is developing a Blackberry Desktop Manager specifically for Macs. You can read around for release dates.

Blackberry.com has announced that sometime in Sept they will be releasing a Blackberry Desktop Manager (BSM) for Mac.  Keeps your eyes peeled.  Im anxiously awaiting it myself.
