The tour apparently does not support Google Maps. Too bad. However, Blackberry Maps does not seem to support the local "find me" option. GPS is turned on in my advanced features, but it still doesn't seem to work. VZ Nav costs money so I'm not interested in that option when the old 8830 would do Maps for free. Any insight?

Google maps works on my Tour. It actually works better on the Tour than it does on my Curve 8330. On my Tour it picked up my location in about 10 seconds and is accurate to about 100 feet or so. I didn't even have to change any settings, I just downloaded it, installed it and when it ran it picked up my location quickly.

I would try un-installing Google Maps from your applications list, then do a reinstall over the air, and after the install is complete, pull your battery while the phone is turned on or use Quickpull or Softreset to re-boot. Once it re-boots, verify that you have your GPS services enabled and try Google Maps again. Let us know how it goes

Hi,
I just loaded Google Maps latest version 3.0.2 on my Tour and it works great. It found my location in general at first right off the bat by locating cell towers. After about 10 seconds or so, it locked in the GPS and found my location to pinpoint accuaracy. Google Maps works great for me.
