Will turning on CDMA-less provisioning make my former phone unusable?

Current Verizon account holder here. I recently bought a 3rd party phone to swap my sim card into and try out, but realized I need to get tech support to enable CDMA-less in order for all phone functions to work. If I do this but decide I prefer my current phone (or would like to use both-- one is better for work but not normal situations) will I have to get that function disabled again? Or does it mean my line would then be able to work with both CDMA and CDMA-less, and my current phone will continue to perform as normal once I swap the sim card back?
