5510 port forwarding

Hello,

I'm trying to set up an IP Camera with a Mifi 5110. It's working locally but to get internet access I need to configure the 5110 for port forwarding. I see there is a post from Verizon that that model does not support port forwarding but under the advanced setting there is a page for port forwarding. When I enable it I can't see the camera from the internet, does anyone have any insight if the 5110, or Verizon, supports port forwarding? Any ideas how to get access to the camera from the internet?

Thanks,

Jerry

In the Jetpack user interface, Jetpack > About, look at your IP4 IP address.

Next, what does IP Chicken say your IP address is?

For Port Forwarding to work, both of these IP addresses need to be the same as given by IP Chicken. They’re not the same, because Verizon Wireless has a commercial router/firewall between your Jetpack and the internet. To get around the issue:

1)  Try using a VPN such as logmein.com (they have a free trial period).

2)  Purchase a static public IP from VZW CS for a one time fee of $500.

3)  Try another service provider that has a public facing IP address.

Also, VZW has an option called LTE Internet (Installed) which I think has a static public IP address. Someone else might have input on this.
