I would like to formally ask Verizon if they can establish a "For Sale" section to the forum. There are many Verizon customers with perfectly good phones they no longer use and would like to offer for sale to other members. Many members cannot afford certain phones and this might be a great service that can benefit buy, seller as well as Verizon as those purchased phones will then be activated for service.
Naturally, Verizon would want a disclaimer that they are not involved in the transaction and it is strictly a buy-seller transaction. Can such a section be added to the forum here?

LOL . . . well that is petty much what I would expect some of them to initially say. However, when you look at just how many phones on their site that are offered for sale as "refurbished" it's a pretty dismal selection isn't it. The vast majority of their "refurb" phones are reserved for replacement purposes as we all know. EBay/Craig's List, etc. are all sources indeed. However, if this forum was intended for members to communicate and exchange information with each other (as Verizon clearly states is the mission) then why not open a forum section for member-to-member offerings of their no longer used phones.
Verizon very much indeed profits here because there will be more phones being activated on their system. Frankly, if you talk to Verizon they will most definitely tell you they make far more from their "Plans" than they do the hardware. I think at a minimum they should give it a six month exploratory try and see what happens.
