NATIONWIDE + CANADA 450 plan -- what flip/basic phone will I need to roam in Canada?

I have an old calling/texting plan and I believe that the LG Terra I now use will soon be unable to roam in Canada.  If my suspicion is correct, then what flip/basic phones will allow me to roam in Canada and to connect to the Verizon network stateside?  I don't want a smartphone if I can avoid one.
