I will be on a cruise.  I need to have my cellular turned on in case family members call.  I get these robocalls frequently.  If I choose not to answer,  will I be billed?

I know it is essential to keep in touch with your family especially if your going away on a cruise. I would love to help clarify especially if you get a lot of spam calls. When you arrive in a TravelPass country and turn on your device, you'll receive an international welcome text message. Your 24-hour access to TravelPass won't begin until you make a phone call, send a text or use data, including background data. You can learn more (#3) here: http://spr.ly/6605EncAT; TravelPass TravelPass isn't available on cruise ships and non-covered countries. http://spr.ly/6606EncAp;

You can check your minute rates while on a cruise ship by following these instructions. http://spr.ly/6607EncAV; I know I have provided a lot of information. Do you have any questions on our findings?

It sounds like you are going on an exciting cruise Mullerbern. We are here to help. If you choose not to answer a call, you will not be charged. What cruise ship will you be on? You can view rates for your cruise ship here: http://spr.ly/6605EnY8R

I have clients that are Verizon customers cruise regularly.   To keep in touch, they buy the Wifi access on the ship and use Wifi  text/calling.  Airplane mode on, Wifi on, data off.

They use pay per use text on land rather than travel pass.  You can keep data roaming OFF to prevent data charges which are VERY high.

Calls aren’t billed if you dismiss them   You can put your phone in do not disturb and set ‘contacts only’ or ‘favorites only’ rule to block all calls   Whether you are charged may depend on the carrier you are connected to on land
