Should I change my plan before traveling?

My wife and I will be in Mexico for 3 days.  We share a Verizon plan with our son, who will not be going.  I don't expect to use my phone much in Mexico (maybe a few texts and couple calls to wife).  My wife however uses alot, phone and text, no so much data.

1) Should I change my plan?

2) If I change plan, will that cover both phones or do I pay for each?

Which plan do you have? You might want to check if you have Travel Pass already included in the plan.
