Swishy sound on my calls

I have phone service through FiOS.

I am starting to hear wierd dropout/swishy noises in my calls

Anyone else seen that?   Up to now, it has been crystal clear.

BTW, Internet and Video are fine, no problems at all

Have you had all three FIOS services all along or did you just add one?  I had FIOS phone by itself and when I got FIOS internet I had a similar problem with noise on my phone line. I bought a computer noise filter for the phone line. It cost $10 [edited] and that solved the problem.

I have had all 3 services all along.  No changes to my service since installation 6+ months ago.

Problem with this just started this last week.

It kind of sounds like a bad VOIP call would sound at my work.

The only thing I can think of is to call FIOS Tech Support. Maybe they know something that has changed recently in your services or some work has been done that you are unaware of that has caused this problem.

Sounds like a few possible things: Inside wiring is causing issues, cordless phone interference from a another device, or handset going bad (speaker or something in the actual phone).

I would call tech support to help you or I help you if you have Verizon FiOS. (Private message me)

Would suggest trying a POTS set - plain old telephone set - to see if you have the same issue.  Inside wiring would not generally cause this type of problem - if you hear hum or clicking then inside wiring problems are a posibility.

If problem does not occur using different phone than you've probably isolated issue to a problematic phone, otherwise its a system problem.  VOIP issues are generally choppy voice.
