Verizon Call Assistant

I downloaded the necessary things to have the verizon call assistant on my desktop but when I log in I receive a message that says, "  Your sign-in request could not be processed at this moment.  Please try again later."  I clicked retry several times but then the rectangular box that has the 3 pictures of the phone, envelope and 3 people start to flash so quickly non stop and then I was unable to close that window...I had to shut my computer down by unplugging it...I have never had to do that since I have had my computer which is only a few months old.  I can go to the website and log in fine there and I am able to see all my calls that came in but when I try to use the icon on my desktop, there are problems.  I would appreciate  your help with this.  I even turned off my firewall as per the advice of a representative and then I re-downloaded everything again and does not work.

It is possible you may have a conflict with another program that is running on your PC at the same time.  Do you happen to run Digsby or Roxio on your PC?  Can you assure all programs running are turned off and then try VCA?  If it runs then open each program back up one by one continuing to try VCA afterwards and when it fails again then you know the culprit.
