When someone calls my land line they get the mail voice mail prompt and cannot leave a message. What this means unless I sit by my phone, I never receive my calls.

I have had many conversations with Verizon support without this problem being resolved.  They do not seem to have spare parts, they don't seem to have a work around, and they cannot even give me an estimate when I should expect to have my voice mail service back.
