If someone is calling our home land line while we are using the phone, the caller does not hear a busy signal. They continue to hear the phone ringing non-stop until they hang up. How can I change that so the caller hears a busy signal?

Do you have call waiting? The person will not get a busy signal and you should hear the beep while you are on the phone that you have another call.
