"New Voice Mail" Message on phones

Two days ago I see a "New Voice Mail" message on my caller ID and on all of my hand sets. I checked my Ans Machine base, no messages, checked to make sure the answering feature was off of all of my phones. I checked through the phone prompts with Verizon it said I did not have VM service. I called and talked to Panasonic, they said phones checked out either return all of the phones for service or have the line checked. I called Verizon again four times, finally hitting the 0 six times. I got one person then another. Seems that even though the system said I did not have VM in fact I did. I had "Billing" disable the service and the message finally went away.
