"listening" to voicmail messages on my computer

Have set up notifications to my email when a call comes into my home phone...I have a MAC & would like to "hear" the message on my computer..so far no such luck...the software to download is not compatible with MAC ...this is the software that would enable me to "hear" the voicemail message on my computer??? If this software is useless how do MAC users take advantage of this feature??
