Finished with a Verizon DSL technician around 11:00 AM today and he confirmed that Verizon's Arlington, Virginia office has been aware of a DSL routing problem since approximately 6:00 AM on 2015-10-06 that affects Verizon customers as far West as Potomac Falls.

Symptoms are:

1. can ping verizon.net

2. cannot ping verizon.com

Hopefully, the issue will be cleared up soon.

Just wanted to let everyone know what is going on.
