Switching out my old westell modem for actiontec GT784WNV. I still want to use my apple router not the wireless on modem. I have read about bridging the modem. Have seen different posts on line about how to do it. Just want to check here before staring up process. Is it as simple as logging into modems web page and changing a few settings. Also if I have trouble can I just hook my old westell modem back up to get back online. Thanks.

Yes, and yes. When you receive the ActionTec, just set it to bridge mode and disable the Wireless. From there your AirPort should work. The old modem you have will still work if you need to use it, so keep it handy.
