Cloud media server

I'd love to be able to watch stuff that I've recorded on my QIP 7232-2 on my smartphone & tablet (if I had one!) & outside my apartment.

Would the VMS1100 do the trick? Can it do wi-fi?

I understand the rudiments of hardware servers  & NAS. I'd rather not go thru buying the hardware & setting it up. Is there such a thing as a cloud media server?

Yes you will have to upgrade. The 7232s never supported viewing DVR content outside the home.  You won’t be able to use a NAS. You have to use the FiOS TV App. You upgrade will the a VMS4100 FiOS TV One box. Verizon isn’t installing VMS1100s any more in new installs.
