I recently signed up for high speed dsl service and recieved the Westell 6100 modem. I currently have a Linksys WRT54G2, V1.5 wireless home network setup. I run Windows 7 & I'm having trouble configuring the Westell modem with my Linksys modem. I tried following instructions to bridge the modem, but after pasting the IP [192.168.1.254] in my web browser, I just recieved an error and couldn't progress. Help!
Try using:
Username and password should both be admin
I used to have a linksys router. I recall the easist set up was using the "Secure Easy Setup" CD that comes with it. I used to simply connect using that and pussing the "Secure Easy Setup" button on the front of the router and let it automatically connect. Does that work?

Follow the instructions in this link.
I have the same modem and router and you should have no problem following the menu.

Actually, I pasted the IP address into the url, and it still didn't work, but I found my installation cd and and now my wireless router works perfectly. Easiest solution is usually the simplest. Thanks for your help
