Congestion causing slow speeds

For about a month now I am getting about 1 third the speed I am subscribed to. I am subscribed to 3360 Kbits/sec by 864 Kbits/sec. Late nights and early morning it is close to that speed but after about 3 pm pacific I get less than a third sometimes and my IP gets routed to Wichita, KS. I live in CA so routing my IP from CA to KS increases my ping from about 59 to 230ms.

After 3 pm I an no longer able to watch videos listen to music and even just browsing the net is a pain.

I called Verizon, the rep couldn't help me he said he would call me the next day and never heard from him again. I really don't want to call back since it took about 2 hours to actually get someone on the line, about 3 hours from him to tell me he couldn't help and never got the phone call back I was told I would get.

Current Test Resluts:

Speedtest.net

Down 1.53Mb/s

Up 0.68Mb/s

http://my.verizon.com/micro/speedtest/broadband/

Down 1.474Mb/s

Up 0.715Mb/s

http://speakeasy.net/speedtest/

Down 1.23Mb/s

Up 0.72

It is not too bad atm but if i test agin about 4 pm tomorrow it would be half that.

#1 If running the blue firmware, go to http://192.168.1.1/ . Choose Troubleshooting, and then click Transceiver Statistics.

If using Verizon-branded firmware (should be Red and Black), go to System Monitoring, Advanced Monitors, and then choose Transceiver statistics. Post up the information you see on that page. If you are prompted for a Username and Password, try one of the following:

admin/password
admin/password1
admin/admin
admin/admin1
Your Verizon username/password

#2 Please show a trace route.

Those statistics are just fine and indicate the line can hold pretty much any package you might want. If it is in fact Evening Congestion and you can't get the phone support people to make a ticket in to the CO to get it fixed, visit DSLReports.com, register an account and make a support post in their Verizon Direct forum. They should be able to solve the problem for you.
