DSL internet Software Page not working.

DSL Internet was interrupted by lines being torn down.  Now when I go to log on to the internet all I get is the verixon download software page for service.  Page will not download, tried several thousands of tmes.   Took my firewall off and virus protection, still will not load.  Sits and spins.  I am ready to get rid of it and go elsewhere.  I had this problem before.  Any help would be appreciated.
