I was charged a $250 deposit for Verizon HSI and Home Phone which had to come as a bundle. When I called back to speak with a Rep to see when the funds could be retrieved she asked me why was my deposit so high that it's usually that way for FIOS which is not available in my area. So when I began to question her she started telling me that it was there no policy and that after six months and the account being kept at at good standing I could then get the funds back. My thing is why was it so high and was she telling me I paid way too much but then realized that she didn't want to put her self at risk with her job for informing me of what I already suspected???????? Oh, by the way my credit wasn't verfied by a Social Security number (never was asked for one) only a physical address I had been at for more that 2 years.
