FIOS internet and Linksys Smart Wifi remote access issues

I have an EA6500 Linksys Smart Wi-Fi router.  Until last week, around July 23 2014, I was happy as can be.

I could use Linksys' https://www.linksyssmartwifi.com site and remotely log into my router from anywhere else outside my home network. I could also use my iOS app called "Smart Wi-Fi" to remotely manage my router and make changes, etc.  I was happy as can be.

As of  about July 23 2014, I can no longer access my Linksys Smart Wi-Fi router from outside my home network.  I spent about 2 hours on the phone with Linksys on Friday and we upgraded to all the latest firmware, did a hard reset on the router, re-forced the firmware, etc.  Everything about the router works perfectly, except remote access.

The only other thing I can think of is that FIOS has changed something on the system side that might be blocking this access.

Verizon, have you made changes to the FIOS network that could potentially block access to my Smart Wi-Fi Router?

This is the router http://www.linksys.com/en-eu/products/routers/EA6500 router.  Like I said, I've already spent time with Linksys, and it checks out just fine.  I can connect to it great, and everything about it works, except the remote access.

Thank you.

It sounds like you have a dynamic IP address. The IP to the router has probably changed. You need a dynamic DNS service to update the IP address to the router for you so that you can access it remotely.

Yes, I do have dynamic IP, but I dont use that.  I log into Linksys' web site https://www.linksyssmartwifi.com, and it then connects through their service.

I've always had dynamic IP and it worked just fine until last week.
